Italian Provincial In Distressed Black...

I didn’t like the top hardware on this really
beautiful italian provincial.
The handles I could work with.
I decided to paint it in general finishes
lamp black.
Distressed edges.

Stripped the top and left it original.
I sealed the top and whole dresser in
poly flat sealer.

I added new flat black knobs to the top.
Had to reposition them because
the older hardware was more higher.
The original handles I painted matte black.

Distressed edges very little not too much.

Antique Vanity Updated Into Nightstands...

This was a antique vanity before.
I was going to repair it and sell as one
when I bought it.  Although, it was missing pieces.
Plus, I really started liking them as
nightstands.

Before below.
I removed the mirrors, some needed replacing anyways.

Removed the poles and the top backsplash.

Repaired all the loose veneer.
Which was a lot.

I painted them in a distressed black.
Used general finishes lamp black.

Sealed in high performance flat sealer.
Then added new black knobs.

French Provincial in Stained French Linen...

I love how beautiful this french dresser is.
The hardware is amazing.  Very sturdy and thick
with beautiful detail.  The style is has clean lines.
Not too curvy.
Before below.

It did need some repair on some scratches
in some areas.

I painted it in annie sloan french linen.
With some rubbed distress very lightly on
edges.

Sealed the body in a matte wax.

I polished the handles and hardware very little.
I wanted to show some original natural patina.
Look at that hardware though?!

It has 8 drawers total.

I wanted to original wood in the design.
But was not feeling the stained top look
on this particular one.
I decided to stain refinish the middle area.
I stained it in dark walnut.  Then sealed
that part in a flat poly.
