Mid Century Modern Restored Dresser...

I've had this since last year in my workshop.

We worked on it here and there.

The original finish was cracked and the wood base was cracked too.

John had to reinforce the base to repair it.  

Now it's solid for another 70 years maybe even longer.

John stripped it all down.

But, I completely forgot to take photos of it stripped

until I had the front already stained!

So I grabbed my phone and snapped pictures of what I 

hadn't started on yet.

I stained it in american walnut, such a beautiful color!

Painted the original hardware gold.

All that beautiful grain!!

My daughter almost kept this one too!

I'm loving this color of stain too!!

Did I say that already...!!

Sealed in a sprayed flat sealer.

Mid Century Modern In Off White...

Scored this off the internet at a huge discount.  

Was in horrible condition as you can see in pictures below.

Wow, that top...woof!

Missing veneer.

Repaired and sanded it down.

But that top had deep stains.

They did not come out.

Sealed in all those holes from those knobs it had.

Which by the way were not original.

I primed then painted some of the dresser in an off white 

called Alabaster.

Then stained the sides and parts of the front

trim in dark walnut.

Sealed everything in a semi gloss sprayed finish.

Added new modern hardware in champagne gold.

Love how gorgeous this came out!
