Black Vintage Dresser Redesigned....

Redesigned this very solid well made
Henredon dresser.
Before below.
Was missing a few bails from the hardware.
I didn’t like it anyway.

Painted it black then distressed edges.
Minimal distress though not too much.

Added feet, these feet where $10 each.

Added new black hardware which where $6.48 each.
Had to reposition the hardware as the new ones
where longer.  Plus I wanted the hardware
centered.

Sealed in water based flat sealer.

Updated Vintage Dresser......

I was going to paint this vintage bassett dresser
in a shabby chic look and use the original hardware.
Well, changed my mind while painting it.
Before below.

I painted it in Magnolia chalk paint Ella Rose.
I love this soft pink color.
The older hardware I wasn't feeling once I painted it.
So, I went to the hardware store and purchased new ones.
Was trying to not spend too much on the hardware either.
But, I liked it so $4.98 a piece for 12...what can you do?
I purchased them, I had too.

Champagne gold hardware is beautiful!
Love the modern look it gives too!

Clean no distressed look.

French Thomasville Dresser Painted White...

Before above of this Thomasville french
provincial.  Would've kept it original, but it had more wear
than normal.
I painted it in white with distressed edges.

Kept hardware original.

Vintage Maple Dresser in Gray...

Painted this in a custom mix of old ochre and graphite
with annie sloan chalk paint on the body.
Here is the before below.  I changed out the hardware.
It was missing a few pulls and couldn't find them online.

I added new modern black knobs.

Stripped the top and stained it in flagstone which is a
natural color with a tad bit of beige and gray in it.

Then sealed the top in high performance flat top coat.

Sealed the body in wax and kept the finish in a
clean no distressed look.
