Cleaned up Antique Dresser...

One of my followers on Facebook had been 

following us for sometime.  She had this dresser

(pictured above before)  it had chips in paint.

Two of the larger drawers had been damaged has shown 

below.  She wanted us to repair those.

Plus freshen up the paint job on the rest.

I told her i no longer strip painted

pieces anymore.  She was fine with just a light sand not removing the paint.

Here are the drawers we repaired below.

You can't even tell, John did an excellent job.

We sanded it, then I primed it.

Then painted it white.

She loved it, she was more impressed with our paint job than 

the repairs 😄

MCM Two Toned White Dresser...

Got this early mid century modern dresser

from a goodwill.  I loved the look of it.  

I knew exactly how I was going to paint it.

Here is the before below.

Repaired all the loose veneer as these older 

mid century pieces have.  They layered veneer

over each other so most all of them I have 

encountered are all solid wood as is this one.

Early mid century pieces are from the mid to late 40s.

Some early 50s.

This is made by Harmony House.

I painted the shell and right drawers 

in a semi gloss white.

Stained the left drawers in dark walnut.

Sealed the stained drawers in a semi gloss sealer.

Then painted the hardware gold.

Beautiful!

Updated Stanley Dresser Set....

New client contacted us a while back from my blog and

said she was referred to us by one of

our previous clients. She said she loved the table

we did for her friend.  

She wanted a dresser/nightstand set custom painted to her liking.

I didn't have anything she liked in my unpainted

available inventory.  So, she waited patiently till I got something in 

she liked.

I got this one in and she loved it.

Before below.

It was originally the factory creamy color and 

the previous owners had put a poly stain over it all.

A reddish stain at that.

We had to strip it, took forever.

She wanted the stained top with white distressed 

body, then painted dark bronze hardware.

Paint was done in Benjamin Moore white.

She loves it, I love this look to 😊💖

Updated Vintage Dresser to Modern Style...

New client inherited her late grandmothers dresser

and wanted it updated for her new little bundle of joy.

She will be due very soon and put this order in 3 months ago.

I was booked like we usually are and she waited patiently. 

Here is the before below.

She purchased new hardware and wanted the middle

cabinet door off.  

She wanted the top stained to match her crib frame

and the body painted a clean no distress white.

We used Benjamin Moore Ultra White.

Amazing what a professional paint job

and some redesigning can do.

She also wanted the old hinge holes sealed in which we did.

Stained top and sealed in a semi gloss water

based sealer.

Everything done in a no brush stroke finish

as always.

Our finish is smooth to the touch and applied 

properly.

Here is the handles she picked.  We only had one at the time.

Looks amazing!

Here it is in her nursery after we delivered it.

She was "over the moon obsessed with it".
