Old Renaissance Star Buffet that was Saved!

We found this piece, it was not taken care of as you can see.  It had a hutch but it was damaged beyond repair which was a shame.  So we kept the door off it that is what you see on top of the before picture.  We looked it up and it seems to be from the early 1900's it is a Renaissance Star Buffet.  It is solid wood very heavy, large dovetailed for the drawers.

This is after....I painted it silver on the doors, drawer fronts, and the side panels.  Then painted the knobs copper.  These are the original knobs.  Then stained and waxed the outer shell.

Sanded it down, the doors on the bottom where nailed in and wrapped around to use as a hinge.  That is how it was made no hinges.  That was taken out as some doors where already fallen off.  So we added hinges.

The sides are not doors they are glued and screwed in.

The bottom doors in front do open.

I love it!  It came out just as I pictured it would:)

Teal and Purple Dresser

This was before.......I had numerous ideas for this one!  We actually got this with no legs, my husband had some and attached them and it looks real nice.  So we sanded, took off the back wood panels behind the spindles.  Then primed it and....

I painted it a mixed teal color,

Painted the handles purple....

then painted the inside top drawers purple also to bring out the handles.

Now, this looks real cute!

Royal Blue Dresser

This was the before...
I list alot of my unfinished pieces for sale until I can get to them.  This was one of those.  It was damaged on the top front part of the drawer and the drawer itself.  So my husband repaired that and sealed up the two holes to replace it with a single knob to fit the other two single knobs on the top drawer.  Sanded it down......

Then here is the after....
Royal Blue .....

Can't tell it was damaged....

painted the handles silver....

Looks real nice, I love those two colors together....

French Provincial Dixie Dresser

This one was pretty as is but I need my pieces with some color, I mean real color!  I was really flip floppy with this one.  I didn't know what colors to choose as I was looking for a two tone cause that's what I mainly like.  So my sweet husband (love him so much) sanded it down and I came up with this.....

Emerald Green top and part of the drawers....

Grey shell and part of the drawers.....

with silver handles!

I JUST L-O-V-E IT!!!!!!
